Water
The Town of Bridgeville Water Department supplies to the citizens of Bridgeville drinking water that meets all of the standards set forth by the Delaware Office of Drinking Water and the Environmental Protection Agency. Water Superintendent Doug Jones achieves these qualities through constant monitoring and testing for contaminants in our potable water supply that is delivered from three ground water wells. Routine maintenance of our well sites and distribution system contribute to delivering quality water. Mr. Jones also assists the other Public Works Departments when needed.
Street
Services provided by Street Superintendent Rick Passwaters consist of street maintenance, pothole repairs, debris removal, trimming trees that hang over roadways, clearing storm drains from debris, snow and ice removal, and installing and repairing street and traffic signs. It is also the job of the Street Superintendent to aid contractors during major street repairs and replacement. Mr. Passwaters also assists the other Public Works Departments when needed.
Wastewater
The primary objective of Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent Jeff Collins is to protect the water quality of the receiving stream that the Bridgeville Wastewater treatment Plant discharges into. This objective is accomplished by continuous and efficient treatment plant performance. Also, continuing education is required to keep abreast of new wastewater technologies, as well as any new regulation requirements from both State and Federal authorities. Mr. Collins also assists the other Public Works Departments when needed.
Police
It is the duty of the Bridgeville Police Department and Chief Allen Parsons to protect and assist the citizens of Bridgeville. The Police Department fulfills these duties by providing foot and vehicle patrols that help to eliminate crime and drugs. Mandatory law and equipment training program requirements keep officers up to date. These mandates help to ensure that the Town of Bridgeville has knowledgeable and dependable officers patrolling the streets.
